Showers moving across the area early this afternoon represent the primary chance for rain today, although a few additional showers could arrive late in the afternoon to early evening.

A significant heavy rainfall event remains likely across portions of the Southern Plains tomorrow as widespread thunderstorms train over the same area. Numerous instances of flash flooding are likely, with rainfall amounts upwards of 7-9" possible in the Moderate Risk (red) area.
