Zoë Kravitz (born December 1, 1988, Los Angeles, California, U.S.) is an American actress known for portraying multifaceted, quietly powerful women in a variety of roles, most notably Catwoman in The Batman (2022).

Early life. Kravitz was born in Venice, Los Angeles at the home of her parents, musician Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet. Both her parents are of half African-American and half-Ashkenazi Jewish descent.
