Perhaps a Latinized form of Greek Καβειρία (Kabeiria), an epithet of the goddess Demeter, possibly derived from the name of Mount Kabeiros in Asia Minor; see also Kabeiro. This was used by Italian author Gabriele D'Annunzio for the title heroine in the film Cabiria (1914), to which he wrote the screenplay.
